DONATE!
As well as selling the car on completion of the challenge to raise some cash for local Gambian charities, we also want to raise as much as can for a couple of other charities as well.
Our aim:
We will be raising money through a number of charity fund raising events, information to follow.
However, to help us reach our target, you can give online NOW to one of the following:

Help us raise £5000 for Tearfund
Tearfund are an amazing organisation working in over 70 countries across our globe. Involved in community development, disaster relief, health issues such as HIV & AIDs, Education, Human rights… its all there.
If you would like to do something for those less fortunate than us in many countries across the world, help us reach our target £5000,
This is where your money goes:
- £10 could provide food, seeds and tools for a family in Malawi.
- £25 pays for a start-up loan that will enable another widow who has lost her husband to AIDS to begin selling cakes, fruit or firewood. In countries where there is no social security it is vital that families who lose their breadwinner still have a way of providing for their needs.
- £30 could provide a family in Uganda with a rainwater jar so they can stock up on water.
- £185 could provide Vocational Youth Training for a student in Haiti for a year.

Help us raise £5000 for MacMillan Cancer Support
Quite simply, MacMillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care.
Cancer is not a single disease with a single cause or type of treatment. There are as many cancers as there are types of human cell – just over 200. Each of the 200 types of cancer has its own name, behaviour and treatment. One in three people will be diagnosed with some form of cancer within their lifetime. Cancer has a huge effect on a massive number of people and is an issue for us all to be involved in.
We aim to raise £5000 for MacMillan. Working in partnership with Metronet who will match pound-for-pound what we manage to raise, please donate through justgiving:
This is where your money goes:
- £22 can give 100 people a copy of Macmillan’s Cancer Guide which helps recently diagnosed people understand cancer, its treatment, and the help available.
- £50 could buy a liquidiser for someone who can’t eat solid food.
