In Tarifa
Salamanca-Tarifa
we spent about 2 hrs in salamanca library doing all sorts of banned stuff inc talking taking radio interviews (though Pete was so tired he called the town salamander) hacking into the internet access we even had our photo taken with the librarian, without whose help we would not have suceeded.

Armed with a new knowledge of the library’s maps of Spain we left to attempt the remaining few hundred kms to the Sanchez family home in Seville. Back on the road after only 2hrs sleep in 36 and having covered over 1000kms, we drove all day…yes not that exciting. We passed green fields with sheep and low stone walls, on cool new EU motorway and past dodgy roadworks without warning lights, bit like Ireland really…dusk was somewhat later though and we almost managed our destination b4 night fell at 6pm.
Juan met us at their village outside Seville and we were treated to amazing hospitality,
showers
food
good company
sleep in a bed

Friday we woke up to blue skies sun and busted front brakes! pete and jon spent the morning fixing the brakes with much Sanchez family help to find a saab dealer with the required obscure part…several hrs, many seville ring roads and garages later the required tool does not exist…who needed brakes anyway! onwards to tarifa a sunny few 100kms to the sea.
We arrived just in time for tea and surfboard window shopping in Newquay…I mean Tarifa, our ferry port for tomorrow…I had better sign off and eat my prawns, their eyes are looking at me!
