The gig report
Welcome back to all the eager fans who rocked up for the Fundraising Gig on Saturday, and if you didn’t - Where were you?
At 7:20 With Gareth fretting not enough people would turn up, the incredible John Maclean opened up, and siezed everyone’s attention with his ecclectic songs, sharp vocals & accompanied by some smooth mouth organ.
Before we knew it, people just kept coming in to swell the coffers, and we were all giggling to Gareth’s antics on the promo video followed swiftly by Fenster. Our second band more than impressed with Ollie’s amazing voice and muse-esq tunes.

Having all taken a bit of a breather up stepped the mighty Andy Flannagan to blow us all away with a brilliant set, with great backing from his band. The ’stars’ song will linger in my memory for a while as the lights were killed and we got a bit of context to our existance compared with the universe around us, and a creator who’s still interested in our everydays too. And if that wasn’t enough, you can even check out his mum’s cooking on his website!

The night was rounded off with an auction of various things kindly donated, the ‘Gaffa tape bag’ and Mary Poppins Theatre Tickets were espacially hotly contested (Jen is still gutted she lost out on those tickets!)
So if you hadn’t guessed we had a great night (please add your comments to this post if you came!)… and to top it all we raised over £800 for our charities.
Thanks again to the Bands who donated their skillz and were so darn good, St Marks for letting us use their place, all the helpers who manned to door, set up, recorded the gig and did the sound/visuals - we couldn’t have done it without you.
